Cooking the Books Dinner - with Fannie Flagg Fried Green Tomotoes
Date: Wednesday 13th October, 2021
Start Time: 19:00
End Time: 21:00
A series of book club evenings, cooking the books will join Liz Ellis of Kemps Book Shop, Malton for discussion on our chosen book while Gilly rustles up two dishes from the book, demo and dine style.
Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe is a 1987 novel by Fannie Flagg. It weaves together the past and the present through the blossoming friendship between Evelyn Couch, a middle-aged housewife, and Ninny Threadgoode, an elderly woman who lives in a nursing home. Spend a quality couple of hours amongst friends, discussing our latest book choice and enjoying a light supper over a glass of wine.
Includes 2-course dinner and a glass of wine.
