North Yorkshire boasts many varieties of game, poultry, and wild birds.  This half day course will teach you many of the techniques necessary to get the most out of these delicious recipes that do these animals justice using the whole bird to make the best meals possible.  You will learn how to make great homely dishes, using local ingredients, cooked to perfection that don’t take too long to prepare saving you time and effort in the kitchen.

 

Course Outline

You will cook 3 dishes, learn new ideas and recipes for you to then cook at home, together with tips on preparation, presentation, and storage. Gilly will also provide a fun demonstration of core techniques.

You will cook recipes with ingredients that are in season and available locally.

The course is a mixture of demonstrations and hands-on cookery lead by Gilly, who can answer all your questions throughout the course.

You will learn knife skills and techniques which will save you valuable time and learn to cook a variety of delicious and quick dishes.

You will also receive a recipe file so that you can recreate the dishes at home with confidence.
