Malton is just 25 miles from the North Yorkshire coast which boasts a bounty of fresh fish and shellfish, we regularly take delivery of some of the best crab, razor clams and Lobster in Britain and here at The Cooks Place we want to show you how to make the most out of our local fish and seafood.
Our course will teach you how to confidently prepare and cook fish, shellfish, and the most delicious crustaceans. Our seafood courses are one of the most popular and we have seasonal recipes and menu suggestions which enable you to enjoy them time and time again.
During this one-day course you will prepare 5 dishes and be given a live demonstration of key techniques in the preparation and filleting of fish.
You will also learn more about the different techniques of fish cookery, including smoking, curing, and ceviche style. Gilly will share with you her many different recipes involving pan frying, baking, stewing as well as ideas for making stocks and broths.
