Malton is just 25 miles from the North Yorkshire coast which boasts a bounty of fresh fish and shellfish, we regularly take delivery of some of the best crab, razor clams and Lobster in Britain and here at The Cooks Place we want to show you how to make the most out of our local fish and seafood.
This half-day course will teach you how to confidently prepare and cook fish, shellfish, and the most delicious crustaceans. Our seafood courses are one of the most popular and we have seasonal recipes and menu suggestions which enable you to enjoy them time and time again.
Our half-day course will see you prepare 3 dishes and have a live demonstration of Key Techniques in the preparing and cooking of fresh Yorkshire Coast fish.
You will learn more about the different techniques of fish cookery including smoking, curing and ceviche style. We have many delicious fish and seafood recipes to share with you that involve fan frying, baking, stewing and we’ll teach you how to make stocks and broths too.
